Ann’s Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore
1 large onion, thinly sliced
2 1/2 to 3 lb. chicken, cut up into pieces
2 6-oz can sliced mushrooms, drained
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup dry white wine
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 to 2 garlic cloves, minced
1 to 2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp. dried basil
1/2 tsp celery seed (optional)
1 bay leaf
1. Place onion in slow cooker. Add chicken.
2. Combine remaining ingredients. Pour over chicken.
3. Cover and cook on high 3 to 4 hours or on high 1 hour and the on low 5 to 7 hours.
