Ok Remember that HOT Step 2® Kids Play and Shade Patio Set deal I posted last week from JCPenney? Well it was a great deal I was sooo excited to get mine! Then they start canceling orders on the set due to a pricing error. Then they released a statement that they would fulfill the orders, a limit of one per person. I was all excited!
Now im bummed again. Here is the email I just received:
Dear jcpenney Customer:
Due to a pricing error on the Step2 patio and shade play set an over abundance of orders were received. Unfortunately the supplier was not able to fill all of the orders and therefore you will not be receiving the play set you ordered.
I apologize for the incorrect pricing issue and for the inconvenience this caused. This certainly is not the level of service to which we aspire. We hope you will give us another opportunity in the future to serve you and to that end we have included a $50 off $50 savings certificate* for you to use on your next online order. If you would like to speak to us directly please call us at 1-800-322-1189.

Attached is a $50 Coupon where I have to spend $50 or more to use and it doesn’t apply for shipping. Shipping is also only free on orders of $69 or more. Also no mention of if I will be refunded the money I spent.
So I called JCPenny. They said i wasn’t charged, when I said the charge was on my account they said it was a hold that was released since it wasn’t shipped. Now If you have PayPal and the money was taken out you need to call in and see how that will work.
