You know the deal: you PCS, get settled, and then start to send out your resume. Unfortunately, your resume makes you look like an unreliable employee – after all, you’ve never held a job for more than three years!
There are some employers out there who are specifically looking for military spouses. We have base access, we’re very adaptable, we know the culture, and we *are* their customers. You can find lots of these jobs on OnBaseJobs.com. On Base Jobs is the only job board out there that exclusively lists jobs inside the gate.
To sign up, go to OnBaseJobs.com and click on “About OBJ”. You’ll put in your name, email address, and ZIP code, and you’re done! Anytime a job is listed at your local base, you’ll get an email with only those jobs listed in it. No jobs, no emails; you won’t have to wade through junk at bases on the other side of the country.
You can also sign up on behalf of your Fleet and Family Readiness group, and pass the listings along to them. Even if you’re not looking for work, you know someone who is, and you can do her a favor.
