I admit I’m a book worm. I could blow my monthly budget on books. With 2 (soon to be 3) kids that isn’t an option. So how do I get my book fix?

I start with yard sales. I seems to always find the book box. I don’t like to spend more the 25¢ on a book at yardsales since these books are rarely new releases.

Use the Library. This is an obvious one BUT they are free. Only down side is new books will have a long waiting list.

Thrift and Consignment Stores. While I’m on an thrifting runs I always check out the books. You can find some great new titles along with great old one that might be worth holding on to!

There are quite of few way to save on books online as well:

Freecycle.org – Scan you local Free Cycle for people offing up books (and other items!)

PaperbackSwap.com – Swap books you have read for books you want to read. One of the biggest online book swap sites. I have been using it for years!

ThriftBooks.com - This is an online thrift shop for books!

Enjoy!
