Our 2014-2015 Homeschool Curriculum
This year my oldest is in Kindergarten and my 4 year old will be in PreK. Will have a 2 year old watching as we go and I got some educations videos for her too I will share. We are also expecting blessing #4 in Oct so we are starting early as in TODAY! Aug 11th! This will allow us some time take off once the baby gets here!
For curriculum I am doing a hodge podge of things some separate for each kid and a few the same. So here is what we have!
My kindergartener will be doing A Beka K5, the streaming online version. He will be doing a few added things I want him to work on such as time and counting money. We have picked up some extra workbooks for those like this Time and Money K-3 Workbook.
My PreK is doing the Alpha Omega Horizons Preschool and supplementing for reading and crafts, Ready-Made Preschool which is like Five In a Row, that we did last year, but it comes with everything that they need for activities and crafts and being that I'm horrible at putting the activities together this seems like a great solution! I bought the first 10 weeks and will see how it goes! For her I am also adding in Handwriting Without Tears and lacing cards to help improve her fine motor skills for Kindergarten next year.
With My older two I am also doing a few combined things. I am adding in Road Trip USA. This curriculum uses the If You Lived In the Time Of… books that go with the curriculum. I'm also adding in to that the Which Way USA books and maps because the Maps easy for them to see. I am also adding in to it American Grub and incorporating the recipes for each state in either dinner, lunch, dessert or snacks.
We are also doing our Holiday themes, Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Winter and Christmas. These are mini unit studies they will have some busy works printables I got free off Pinterest. We will also read a book a day related to each theme and watch at night what shows with the theme I can find on Netflix.
We will also be doing 3 longer Unit Studies on weather, Transportation, and Farms. This will be more informative unit studies with a small busy pack of printable each day, a book and videos as time allows.
I have also picked up several Clifford the Big Red Dog science kits that the kids can be doing in between with daddy to get him involved. We will be doing several virtual field trips to Kennedy Space Center, Statue of Liberty, and Yellow Stone Nation Park. The planned field trips this year are to Hershey Chocolate Factory and Gettysburg while learning about Pennsylvania and a trip to Arlington National Cemetery when learning about Virginia.
My 2 year old will be watching as she plays and also watching the Preschool Prep DVDs for Letters, Numbers, Colors and Shapes. She will also be watching the DVDs from the PreK Horizons Curriculum. We hadn’t planned on getting them but then came across a 20% off sale and made the jump.
What are you using this year?

Thank you for sharing your resources. I’m a grandma whose grandson will be doing Legacy which is a 2 1/2 day program at school and 2-day homeschooling. They also have Fridays for extracurricular activities. Hoping to pull in Abeka and perhaps others for the summer.
