We continued Week 3 with watching more Dino Train from PBS Kids.
Make sure you follow our Dino Unit Pinterest Board for more great activities!
Since my kids had a love for T-rex the week before we read Tyrannosaurus Rex & Barnum Brown. We also continued talking about how Scientist dig up dinosaurs and read books on the subject including Dig Those Dinosaurs, Digging Up Dinosaurs (Let's-Read-and-Find-Out Science 2) and Bones, Bones, Dinosaur Bones
We then did a dino dig of our own. I used Safari Ltd Dinosaur Skulls TOOB® buried them in a small bin of sand and let the kids dig them up they then had to identify them (using a card)
We also read The Magic School Bus in the Time of the Dinosaurs and and continued activities from The Magic School Bus: Back in Time with the Dinosaurs.
We then set up the Grow Your Own Dinosaurs Party Accessory activity.
I am a Wife, mom to 4 kids, homeschool mom, blogger, social media junkie, Frugalista, Book Worm, and Closet Want-to-be Chef. We are a Roadschool family (homeschooling on the road while traveling fulltime).
I grew up learning ways to save from my mom and grandma. I started my own coupon journey when my first child was born in 2009 and started the blog on 2010 when baby #2 was born to share my tips with everyone who kept asking about how I was getting diapers for $1 a pack!
