With Spring here we always go strawberry picking! We then love to take the strawberries and make this Easy Strawberry Freezer Jam that lasts us all year! This is a family affair! The kids help pick strawberries and help me mash and mix, hubby help pour jam into the jars and load them in the freezer.
Easy Strawberry Freezer Jam
This freezer jam goes well with many of my Easy Meals and Easy Breakfast Recipes.
What You’ll Need:
- 5 Cups Fresh Strawberries
- 2 cups of Sugar
- 6 TBSP Ball Freezer Jam Pectin (Instant)
- Freezer-safe canning jars or small Tupperware containers.
Directions
Wash, stem & slice strawberries, then place in a shallow pan.

Use masher to crush berries (consistency will depend on how chunky you like your jam)
The Mashed Strawberries (mine seemed Extra Juicy but came out fine)

Scoop jam into small freezer-safe jars or Tupperware containers. (I used the 12oz – 16oz Jar)
Let jam set for 30 minutes, then store in your freezer until you’re ready to use your tasty jam.
I make 3 jars at a time (as pictured), and I take out one at a time to keep in the fridge.
Store in freezer for up to 1 year, or in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
Recipe makes approximately threw 12 oz. jars

I made this recipe today and made 2 batches. I got 6 12 oz Jars. We got the Strawberries at a pick your own farm this morning paid $7.50 for the Strawberries and $4.50 for the Pectin for a total of $12.00. ( I re-use the jars)
Now if you go and buy a jar of jam from the store, you will pay about $3.39 for a 12oz jar. I got 6 jars out of my batch for only $12, but buying those same jars from the store would have cost me about $21.
Total saved: $9
