1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup of unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon of milk
1.5 cups of powdered sugar (for the eggnog frosting)
1/4 cup of Eggnog (for the eggnog frosting)
Directions
In a large mixing bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder and salt.
In a separate mixing bowl, use a hand mixer to combine the butter and sugar. Add the egg and milk and mix until completely combined.
Slowly add in the flour mixture and mix on low until mixed together.
Wrap the dough in saran wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Sprinkle a large surface with flour or powdered sugar. Place dough on top and roll flat with a rolling pin. Use a small circle cookie cutter to cut out your cookies.
Place on a greased baking sheet and bake for 6 minutes. Rotate pan and bake for another 6 minutes.
Remove from oven and let cool.
While the cookies are cooling, make the eggnog frosting by combining the powdered sugar and eggnog. You may have to add a bit more eggnog to get it at the frosting consistency you want.
Spread the eggnog frosting on top of the sugar cookies.
Sprinkle with nutmeg to taste and for decoration.
