Welcome to The Frugal Navy Wife.
WHO is The Frugal Navy Wife?
The Frugal Navy Wife is ME! I'm Danielle, I am the owner and the brains behind the site. I love writing and sharing how to save money, my homeschool woes and things like my Worst Mommy Moment! I am in my late twenties and my husband and I have been married going on 8 years now. I am a wife mom, homeschool teacher, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, book worm, frugal money saver, gypsy at heart, former navy wife, and breastfeeding mom. I homeschool my kids, menu plan, do all the family shopping (once a month for $200 a month!) , I love to read in what little spare time I have but normally a hot bath and time to relax takes over before reading! I currently live Florida and travel more often then not! I have 5 kids one boy and 5 girls ages 9, 7, 5, 3 and under 1!
More about me. Let's see I never know what to say here! I grew up in Florida, lived in the same town my whole life grew up on a farm until the time I was 13 until we moved into town. Once I turned 18 I busted out and have since lived in Ohio, Kentucky (and back to FL) Virginia then met hubby had my son, and moved to Maryland had 2 more girls and then to Pennsylvania where we had kid #4, a 3rd girl! Once my husband got out of the Navy we didn't know where to settle down so we decided to travel some too. We sold everything moved into an RV and have been traveling the country since August 2015. You can follow our adventures on Roadschooling with The Frugal Navy Wife. “I've got a gypsy soul to blame and I was born for leaving….” (name that song!)
Some day we will settle down on a farm with acreage in mountains in TN, or maybe Maine we havent decided!
We welcome PR! We would love to find a way to work with you! From reviews, giveaways, sponsored posts, social media shout outs, and more! Read on to find out more about TFNW. Scroll down to see where we have been featured and who we have worked with!
About The Frugal Navy Wife:
The Frugal Navy Wife was started in June of 2010 as a way to show friends and family how to save money. It took off fast as they shared it with their family and friends and so on. We never would have dreamed we would be as big as we are today. Our goals are to bring readers ways to save money from all aspects of life so just about anyone can get a great deal.
We are a frugal living site. Featuring ways to save money on everything from food and clothes, to your home and bills to a vacation or a special splurge like that coach bag you've been eying up. Ways to save on home decor, recipes and utilities, ways to budget and more!
We are also a homeschool family and blog about great homeschool deals and products. I also share my homeschooling experiences good or bad!
While The Frugal Navy Wife was started by a Navy Wife we are NOT an exclusive military only website, we post for everyone, military, civilian families, single parents, newlyweds, the single person to grandparents and even your pets!
The Frugal Navy Wife family is currently on the road to travel full time and seeing the USA in an RV! Follow the journey and see their adventure on Roadschooling with The Frugal Navy Wife.
As you can see, TFNW has the reach that you need to get the word out about your product or service and we love working with new or tried and true companies! We also have a network of other frugal living websites that we work with to cross promote; effectively reaching over 250,000 people at once at no extra cost to you! How awesome is that?!

Hello! Can I subscribe to your email newsletter if you have one? I would like to remember about this page, and how to find it again! I also want to tell my friends about it. I have an IPad, no computer, and no smart phone, so I lose everything on my screen unless I am signed up somehow. Thank you!
I tried your recipe for the loaded baked potato soup a few weeks ago. We loved it so much I was going to make it again. I can no longer find the recipe and I didn’t write it down. Would you mind sharing it with me?
Yes the recipe can be found here: http://www.thefrugalnavywife.com/loaded-baked-potato-soup-recipe/
It’s one of my favorites too 😉
Hi Danielle! I work with the MobileRVing.com blog team and we are looking for new bloggers. Please email me so I can discuss the opportunity. I didn’t see a place to sent a direct email here on your site. Thanks!

Hello,
My name is Megan and I am with a company called LiveShopper. We are a mobile app offering out users brand specific discounts & bounce backs. We also have tasks available for chances at Amazon.com codes. We also have tasks that pay immediately, from time to time. We are looking to create brand awareness and feel like your viewers are the ideal group that would find benefit in our mobile app. When could we talk to see if a collaboration would work for both of us?
I look forward to continuing this conversation soon.
Thanks so much!
Megan
