WHO is The Frugal Navy Wife?
The Frugal Navy Wife was founded by Danielle but is currently Owned and Operated by Marissa. They started out by working together and have become best friends, road trip buddies, and each other's no judge zone.
Meet Marissa
Marissa is a 30 something work-from-home Wife and Mom to 4 kids ranging in age from 8 – teen ( pray for her), 2 cats & 3 dogs. She lives in the Phoenix metro area but her family is originally from Pennsylvania. She is very active with her kids who all do some sort of sport so they are always on the go. Her entire childhood she grew up moving from Air Force Base to Air Force Base, every 3.5 years just about as her father served 22 years active duty. Living in places from coast to coast ( Arizona, Nevada, South Carolina, North Dakota, Idaho). She has a sense of adventure and hates to be bored. However, with a large family being frugal is a must.
She joined the Frugal Navy Wife team in 2017 as an editor, social media manager, and graphics gal. Since then she has taken on more and more tasks becoming a content creator, content planner, and brainstorming new ways to be frugal while having fun. In 2020 Marissa took over as Owner of The Frugal Navy Wife.
Marissa does not budget for Christmas shopping. You read that right, she does NOT budget anything for Christmas shopping – instead, she uses rebate apps to pay for it all every year. Yes, all four kids get a Christmas each year based on rebate app cashouts.
She has a new found love for Virtual Races. Just like a regular 5k, half marathons and full marathons just all done at her own pace. Currently, she has finished 9 races which tally up to over 300 miles. She has a handful of races in the queue and is looking forward to adding more.

Fun Facts about The Frugal Navy Wife
The Frugal Navy Wife was started in June of 2010.
The site started as a blog where Danielle shared her diaper deals because she got tired of repeating the deals to friends and family 20+ times a week. (Sorry Guys!) They shared it and it quickly grew.
We transitioned from a deal and couponing site slowly by adding in recipes. We ditched the deals and coupons completely in 2013.
We have attended 4 Blog conferences and 3 homeschool conferences.
We have more post ideas then we have time to write edit and publish! Seriously over 500 on the spreadsheet and we add more weekly!

About The Frugal Navy Wife:
The Frugal Navy Wife was started in June of 2010 as a way to show friends and family how to save money. It took off fast as they shared it with their family and friends and so on. We never would have dreamed we would be as big as we are today. Our goals are to bring readers ways to save money from all aspects of life so just about anyone can get a great deal.
We are a frugal living site. Featuring ways to save money on everything from food and clothes, to your home and bills to a vacation or a special splurge like that coach bag you've been eying up. Ways to save on home decor, recipes and utilities, ways to budget and more!
We are also a homeschool family and blog about great homeschool deals and products. I also share my homeschooling experiences good or bad!
While The Frugal Navy Wife was started by a Navy Wife we are NOT an exclusive military-only website, we post for everyone, military, civilian families, single parents, newlyweds, the single person to grandparents and even your pets!
As you can see, TFNW has the reach that you need to get the word out about your product or service and we love working with new or tried and true companies! We also have a network of other frugal living websites that we work with to cross-promote; effectively reaching over 250,000 people at once at no extra cost to you! How awesome is that?!

Hello! Can I subscribe to your email newsletter if you have one? I would like to remember about this page, and how to find it again! I also want to tell my friends about it. I have an IPad, no computer, and no smart phone, so I lose everything on my screen unless I am signed up somehow. Thank you!

I tried your recipe for the loaded baked potato soup a few weeks ago. We loved it so much I was going to make it again. I can no longer find the recipe and I didn’t write it down. Would you mind sharing it with me?

Hello,
My name is Megan and I am with a company called LiveShopper. We are a mobile app offering out users brand specific discounts & bounce backs. We also have tasks available for chances at Amazon.com codes. We also have tasks that pay immediately, from time to time. We are looking to create brand awareness and feel like your viewers are the ideal group that would find benefit in our mobile app. When could we talk to see if a collaboration would work for both of us?
I look forward to continuing this conversation soon.
Thanks so much!
Megan

I am a retired Navy Nurse Corp Commander. I started out as a corpsman attached to a Marine unit.
Since retirement, I have been collecting recipes from the internet and sharing them with my family and friends. I lost something when I retired and that is my Navy family. So glad to have found your blog.
