In most parts of the world, kids are back in school and families are getting into a routine. With this in mind, parents still have the job of helping their kids learn. Whether you’re helping your kids with homework, sight words, or additional reading, there is always something to be teaching our kids. Need a few hacks to help your kids with learning? These hacks are for you!
Let your kids chew some gum while they learn
Is this even for real? YES! When your kid comes home after a long day of school and they have homework to do, gum is the perfect solution. Gum can help your kid concentrate, even when their brain is tired. A lot of kids have different things they do to concentrate. From sticking out their tongue to tapping their foot, gum is just another hack for helping them concentrate while learning.
Don’t forget a snack
When it comes to learning, a snack always helps! Before you sit down to teach your kid a new concept, don’t forget the snacks. Try to give your kid something that will feed their brains! A healthy vegetable or fruit can work wonders. Something delicious, yet healthy can really help your kid get ready for learning.
Play music in the background
Not every child can handle listening to music, while they learn, but many can. With this in mind, try it out and see if it helps. If your child is having problems with comprehension or understanding, music may be the answer. It has to be the right music though. Play around with the different genres of music and find one that helps your child in the learning process.
Alternative sitting
Sitting at a desk all day has been proven to be detrimental to your health, imagine what it does for your child. A great hack to help your kids with learning is to allow them to sit where they’re comfortable. Set up a learning corner that doesn’t have a chair and desk, see how this helps your child with their learning, you may be amazed.
Create a homework caddy for your child
Some kids struggle with learning because the basic organization throws them off. I actually created this homework caddy with the help of Duck Tape. We already use Duck® brand duct tape for everything in our house, so why not use it for creating a learning hack? The homework caddy helps kids stay organized, so they can get their homework done and not spend hours trying to gather everything to accomplish this task.
It's simple, take a plan basic cady and grab some Printed Duck Tape® and decorate your caddy. My girl is obsessed with mermaids so that's the direction I went.
Then just wrap the cady in the printed tape. I used strips because it's easier to control the tape.
Now my daughter was all excited but she insisted on a pink handle. So I grabbed the Color Duck Tape® and not only added a pink handle but a pink label too.
Duck Tape is actually known for its quality and innovation. Now they even have a variety of colors, designs, and licenses. Anywhere you can think of purchasing Duck Tape, you can! Whether you want pink, orange, yellow, and fluorescent green, they have you covered. You can literally create anything your heart desires, with the help of Duct Tape!
What have you created lately out of Duck Tape? I’d love to see your creations.
