A House for Hermit Crab Unit Study
The past few days I have been posting my activities we did for the book A House for Hermit Crab by Eric Carlisle. I wanted to circle back and put them all in one spot for easy access!
Each day we started off by reading the book and talking about the different animals the hermit crab meets. I also googled real pictures of these animals for the kids to see.
A House for Hermit Crab Unit Study Activities – Here we visited the pet store and talked about different animals homes. Then we broke down and bought a hermit crab and home for them and also made a hermit crab sensory bin!
A House for Hermit Crab Unit Study Art Project – Our art project consisted of making our own hermit crab (from a paper plate) and letting the kids put the different animals on it while we read the book.
A House for Hermit Crab Unit Study Snack Idea – The snack Idea i had the most fun putting together. We read the book during lunch and they enjoyed every minute of it!
I am a mom to 5 kids, homeschool mom, blogger, social media junkie, Frugalista, Book Worm, and Closet Want-to-be Chef. We are a Roadschool family (homeschooling on the road while traveling fulltime).
I grew up learning ways to save from my mom and grandma. I started my own coupon journey when my first child was born in 2009 and started the blog on 2010 when baby #2 was born to share my tips with everyone who kept asking about how I was getting diapers for $1 a pack!
