How do Youtubers Make Money
Sell a Product
So, I wrote a post on how to sell items without having to put the money into buying stock and all up front! You don't have to hold inventory but you can get a few items for you to wear and hold and talk about in your videos. Then SEO and keyword your videos and link to the products in the descriptions.
Something to keep in mind. Do NOT sell sell sell. So, if this is the case then How do Youtubers Make Money? Yes, you want to sell and you want them to buy but you want to give them value to watch the video and get to know YOU! So do a post on a problem that your items solve, offer tips and advice etc. If you are selling say, plans to build a nightstand with barn doors (because I just got these), then make a video of a few of the more complicated steps on how to make that nightstand. How to stage in in your room etc.
Wear your T-shirt while talking about ‘xyz' topic.

Use Fan Funding
If you make awesome videos on a topic let your fans help support you! They pledge as little as $1 a month or as much as $500+ a month and in return, they get access to special videos the public doesn't get, many offer a live Skype call when you pledge $50 or more. Live Q&A videos each month. Some of the travel YouTubers will send postcards to you once or twice a month.
There are a few ways to do this.
- YouTube's Fan Funding – You will need an advertising account but this is like a big tip jar on YouTube. It's a pretty cool feature!
- Patreon – When I think of Fan Funding this is the site I think of. Fans can subscribe to their favorite creators for as little as a dollar a month and receive exclusive rewards.
- Tipeee – This one is pretty much a combination of the two options above.
Sell it to the Media
Yeah, I didn't even know this was a thing until recently! If you had a video go viral you can sell a license to the media to use it and feature it! Pretty darn cool! If you have a viral video head to Junkin Media to list it!
