One of my little girls is obsessed with mermaids. It's mermaid everything from toys to books and even clothes. Her last birthday was a mermaid party!
Magical and Relaxing Mermaid Slime Recipe
Her favorite mermaid item right now is her mermaid tail blanket that had one for her doll too that she got for her birthday.
While this slime is NOT edible I do have an edible Nutella Slime that you could add a few mermaid toys too if needed.

Ingredients
- 6 ounces of clear school glue
- 10-20 drops ylang-ylang essential oil
- 1-2 drops teal food coloring
- 2-3 tablespoons super chunky glitter
- 1/2 tablespoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon contact solution
- 1/2 teaspoon water

Instructions
Add the clear glue to a small bowl.
The mix in essential oil. This is a relaxing blend that any parents will love!
Then add in your food coloring and mix well. Start with 1 drop and add from there to get the color you want. For the more vibrate color, you will need more color.

Now add in your glitter and blend well into mixture.
In a small bowl, add baking soda, contact solution, and water. Mix together well.
Now slowly add the baking soda/contact solution/water mixture to slime mixture, 1 teaspoon at a time.

When it is mixed enough, the slime will pull away from the bowl, like in the photo. The more contact solution you add the less sticky it will be.
Work the slime in your hands or knead on a flat surface until pliable. You know when the slime is done when it pulls like taffy and is smooth in texture. If you like, add more glitter and knead in until well incorporated.
Store in an airtight container or plastic bag. Will last a LONG TIME!!!
