I may just have a little diva or two in the family . There are a lot of pretty, sparkly, and girly necklaces and bracelets for church, dinners out, or important play dates hanging around. For awhile I had them tossed in a basket where they inevitably got tangled or we couldn't find the one we were searching for so I needed a better solution. One that was cute, easy, and of course FRUGAL! This Rustic Jewelry Hanger that I threw together was pretty much free- I had all the supplies at hand and even if you don’t you could gather them for just a few dollars. It is also easily done for a little girl or a grown woman- that means momma gets one next!
DIY Rustic Jewelry Hanger
You are going to need…
a weathered board- mine is 6” x 22” but you can use any size
clear push pins
buttons
hot glue
hammer
ruler
twine
Ready? Ok let’s get going, this is crazy easy!
If you have enough room on your board for two rows- measure and mark every 2 inches with a pencil at least 1” from the edge.
Measure and mark off another row below it spacing your marks in between the above ones.
Gently tap a clear thumbtack into each each mark with a hammer.
Apply a generous amount of hot glue to the top of tack, quickly press button on top.
Allow glue to set for at least 10 minutes.
Wrap each end with twine 2 or 3 times, on the inside of your last tack to hold it in place, tie a knot on the back to secure.
Cut 4” lengths of twine and loop through the top of your wrapped twine, knot 2 or 3 times making them the same length.
Your jewelry hanger is ready to be hung on the wall for all your pretty accessories.
