I am starting to see that you can make just about anything in the Instant Pot. No joke. Instant Pot Recipes are becoming pretty popular because the Instant Pot can do so much it has taken the place of several of my small appliances! I recently discovered desserts in the instant pot and this Instant Pot Chocolate Cake is one of my favorites so far!
Easy Instant Pot Chocolate Cake Recipe
I love my Instant Pot I was able to replace my slow cooker and rice cooker with it and save room in my kitchen! I can also use it to can our blueberry jam. That has become a family favorite!
One of the first recipes I ever made in my Instant Pot was my Instant Pot Oatmeal With Fruit. It was one our breakfast for dinner nights and we had fruit to use up. We switch out what fruit based on what we have and we make it once a month now.
For this recipe, you will need an Instant Pot Trivet and it's something I suggest picking up if you don't have one already. It's needed in many dessert recipes, it great when you cook roasts and other meats as well and helps make the perfect Instant Pot Meatloaf!
Ingredients
¾ Cup Flour
½ Cup Sugar
1 Egg
¾ Tsp Baking Soda
¼ Tsp Salt
3 Tbs Cocoa Powder
3 Tbs Butter
¼ Cup Water
¼ Cup Milk
½ Tsp Vanilla Extract
½ Tsp Lemon Juice

Directions
In a medium bowl mix all dry ingredients together. Set aside.
In a separate bowl cream butter and sugar together. Add egg and mix until fluffy.
Add water and lemon juice and mix until incorporated. Add ½ of the dry mixture and mix well. Add milk and mix gently until incorporated. Add remaining flour mixture and mix until well blended. A few small lumps are ok in the batter. Pour batter into a well greased 6-inch baking dish.
Place Instant Pot trivet in the bottom of Instant Pot and add 2 cups of water to the bottom of Instant Pot. Cover baking dish with a paper towel followed by foil. Lower Baking dish on to trivet using a foil sling.
Lock lid and cook on manual for 40 minutes. Allow natural pressure release. Remove lid and remove baking dish using foil sling. The cake should be pulled away from sides of dish slightly. This indicates it is done, as well as a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow cooling before serving.
