Fall is coming and the date nights are going to happen (start planning now)! Just because you’re going on a date night, it doesn’t mean you need to spend a ton of money. Check out these free fall date night ideas to spice up your fall romance.
Free Date Night Ideas for Fall Romance
Take a nice walk
Not only is the scenery amazing during the fall months, the weather is just perfect. When it comes to a free fall date night with your spouse, take a nice walk. Enjoy seeing the houses, trees, and the cool fall weather. This is one of our favorite things to do during the fall months. More so around Halloween I love looking at all the houses and their Halloween decor.
Have a craft night
Hey, we are all about making the kids do weird leaf crafts, why not do this with your spouse? There are tons of tutorials online that can help you have an awesome craft night with your spouse. You can even have a painting night where you paint something “fallish” together.
Do a little baking or canning together
Something fun my husband and I love to do (when we can) is baking. You can’t go buy anything new though, you have to use what’s in your cabinets. This is not only fun and keeps the budget low, but it is quite the challenge. We also take time and do our fall canning together. Canning apple butter is one of our favorites. Give it a try on your next free fall date night.
Decorate pumpkins together
Pumpkins don’t have to cost a lot of money, but it is a cheap date night idea for fall. Grab a few CHEAP pumpkins and then decorate them on your next date night this fall. Have a contest to see who can make the pumpkins look the most Halloweenish. You can carve them or paint them.
Spend the night under the stars
The good thing about the stars is that they are free. You can spend all night looking at them and not pay a dime. Pretend like you are teenagers and go out to your backyard. Lay out your blanket and enjoy the stars. It’s free, albeit a little chilly during the fall (more reason to spend time cuddling). Google has an app that helps you identify stars and constellations.
Do something for someone else
When you help others, you’re growing yourself as a couple. Something my husband and I have done in the past is serve someone else during our date night. Sound weird? A couple who serves together, stays together. Serving in a soup kitchen or helping someone with lawn work is all free, but builds you up as a couple.
