This is your year to make money off of the Internet. You may see other people making money and wonder how you can get in on the action. One of the places you can make money via the Internet is on Pinterest. This may sound like a foreign world for someone who doesn't know how to monetize Pinterest, but here is how it is done.
7 of the Best Tips on How to Monetize Pinterest Today!
First you need to get started and build up your account, and it's a lot easier than you might think!
Set up a Pinterest Account
Before you can even begin making money on Pinterest, you need to set up an account. An account is really easy to create. Head over to Pinterest.com to begin making your account. After this step is where the money making on Pinterest really begins.
Learn from the gurus of Pinterest
If there is one thing I have noticed, it is that Pinterest is a great place to learn how to do something. Are you trying to make extra money this year? Why not learn from the best on Pinterest? You can learn to do almost anything on there! Make a side gig career out of carpentry, sewing, crafting, DIY, or anything else you can imagine. Pinterest is free too! Stick with the free content and start growing your DIY business.
Build an influence on Pinterest
People are attracted to interesting stuff. If you can build a following on Pinterest, you can get brands to pay you to tell others about their product. Let’s say you love housing content. Work on building a great following in the niche. Either contact brands to see if they’d like to add you as an influencer or you can wait for them to contact you!
Now let's talk money!
Create a Passive Income
Create a what? I know this word may seem foreign, but it’s real. Passive income is anything you create now that you hope generates an income over the course of time. That could be a website, an eBook, printables, an online store, anything of this manner. You can use Pinterest to drive traffic to your passive income streams.
Sell your products on Pinterest
Are you really handy or crafty? The people who are on Pinterest are visually stimulated by products they find appealing. If you make anything or sell anything, Pinterest is a great place to make money. Upload GREAT pictures of your products with a link back to where you’re selling it (Etsy, eBay, or Amazon are just a few choices).
Become a Pinterest VA
If you know Pinterest and are willing to learn what makes Pinterest tick you can become a Pinterest VA and manage a business and/or bloggers account to drive traffic to their sites. Many of them utilize tools like Tailwind for analytics and Board Booster for scheduling.
You can use sites like Reward Style and pin products you love. If anyone buys via your links then you earn a commission. This seems to work best with fashion boards and decor boards.
Using sites like Izea for sponsored media campaigns and Tap Influence to be selected for social campaigns to get paid to pin or repin posts. You can also partner with company-specific programs like the Zaycon Influencer Program.
You can reach out to companies you want to work with and pitch a sponsorship to them. You get paid to share their stuff on your profile. Many time this includes exclusivity.
Build Your Email List
Use Pinterest to build your email list to sell via your email list. This tends to be a bit more effective as the list is more targeted.

I also want to point out one of my favorite ways to make money at home is via blogging! See what you need to know to get started blogging.
I am a mom to 5 kids, homeschool mom, blogger, social media junkie, Frugalista, Book Worm, and Closet Want-to-be Chef. We are a Roadschool family (homeschooling on the road while traveling fulltime).
I grew up learning ways to save from my mom and grandma. I started my own coupon journey when my first child was born in 2009 and started the blog on 2010 when baby #2 was born to share my tips with everyone who kept asking about how I was getting diapers for $1 a pack!
