As a mom we all know with kids stuff happens. I have had my share of interesting events with 4 kids. But yesterday takes the cake.
It started like any other day but today we were out of town. An hour away to be exact. We had just had lunch I had fed baby girl (who is now 6 months old) and changed her diaper, I realized I didn't have any more diapers for her in the diaper bag after that. I didn't think anything of it since we were on our way home.
But I didn't know the worst was yet come ….. If you have a weak stomach turn back now…..
My Worst Mommy Moment
We are driving down the road, not yet on the highway and we hear it. The tell tale went baby fart….
So we stop at Rite Aid grab diapers and hubby goes to pick her up to change her…. Do you see where this is going moms and dads?!
His hand is wet his jacket covered in that stinky brown liquid….
He puts her down in his seat… leather thankfully… and notices her car seat got hit as well. I get out to clean it and thats when I hear my husband yelling “Oh my god… What the….. How did you….” Yes he couldn't even make full sentences! I know it's bad but I had to lean on the side of the car and laugh just something about that moment I knew was going to be a kicker!
I peak in the door at the the brown liquid… let's call it what it is… Poop. It is everywhere, her clothes, her back, the seat, the blanket he put on the seat, and as he tried to get her undressed it ended up on her arms, feet, and hair. We went threw a whole pack of new wipes…..
As we try to get her clean we have her naked, one of us holding her… outside the car because at this point there is poop ALLL over the seat, wiping her down with wipe after wipe. All the while the ladies selling stuff at front of the store next door are laughing. at this point, sadly so do I. It was either laugh or cry. (PS we had her her blocked from sight of any one so no one saw her naked baby butt at this point. But if you are keeping score baby 14, mom 1)
We get her clean and the seat clean and the new diaper on her and then…. my bad mom moment had started out as just not having diapers, but it got worse.
You see she has just moved up a clothing size and I had taken the old pair of spare clothes out of the car. Have any idea where this is going? Yep! I hadn't put a new pair of spare clothes in yet. And they ONLY extra piece of clothing in the car? had just been used to clean up poop.
So I did what I had to and put her naked, diapered butt in her car seat and ran next door to Dollar General and bought a sleeper! Now lets take a moment a praise who ever put the drug store and a store that sells clothes in the same parking lot together. AMEN! Now thank goodness for Dollar General's 70% off sale I was able to snag a sleeper for only $2.50, and a few extra bags free to throw the diaper and wipes into and another for clothes.
I had to fight hubby to keep her clothes, not because I am that cheap but because I deeply loved the outfit she is in. It was her first time wearing it, I wasn't giving up that easy!
Now the baby's car seat, the baby, and the drivers seat are all clean again. The baby is dressed and the diaper and pack of used wipes had been thrown away, the poopy clothes including hubby's jacket are in a bag a tied up. We then head for home again, the car smelling of poop this time.
We get on the highway finally and look back to see the baby sleeping… she must have really pooped her self out.

That is too funny! I had a similar situation with my then 1 year old (he is two now) but out the other end. Thank goodness for Walgreens.
