Save “Junk” – What you might be passing over that can be turned into wedding decor for any theme! Such as tins cans can be painted and holes poked in a design to be lit via a tea light candle for a romantic, rustic glow. Old mason jars can hold flowers or candles as well.

Save Decorations – Decor that can be saved and turned into wedding decor! Having a fall wedding? Fall decor from around the house can be used. Winter wedding? Take a look at your Christmas decor! Lights, garland and all make great double duty wedding decor.

Skip the Wedding Section – Look for decorations that are normal home decor as mentioned above. Once you put the word wedding on something the price goes up.

Check Clearance First – I know it should go without saying but I will say it anyway. Always check clearance first!

Natural Elements – Using natural elements for decor, how to use them and what type of weddings they go perfectly with. If your location has a view, use it instead of stacking up the decorations!

Thrift Shop– You can find many things like tablecloths, chair covers, decor that can be repurposed and more!

Use Lighting – Use lighting in place of flowers it is much cheaper and looks just as beautiful!

DIY It Up – Always make what you can. Enlist your wedding party (guys included!) to help with DIYs and don't wait until the last minute make it in advance and store it until the big day so you aren't and stressed closer to the big event.

Double Duty – Use items you can use in both your ceremony and then move to your reception. Make them do double duty and get their full value out of them! To do this ask someone to move the items when you do pictures. Maybe have the groomsmen load them while the bridesmaids do pictures then the bridesmaid can decorate while the groomsmen do pictures.
