Save Money on Your Wedding Dress and Groom's Attire – Cheap Wedding Dresses
One of the most important parts of a wedding is the wedding dress. Save money with these simple tips
Now I want to start by saving have you seen the prices of wedding dresses? Holy cow! I won't lie it makes David's bridals $99 dress look like the best sample sale in the world!
Here are a few places to look that could save you a bit of money (if not make the dress free!)
- Retail stores
- Bridal gown store SALE RACKS
- Thrift shops
- Grandma's Closet
- Prom dress stores
- Facebook groups
Here are a few more things to consider about your dress:
Keep it simple – The more details and ‘bling' on the dress the more it is going to cost.
Shop at the right time – Shopping for cheap wedding dresses in the summer and winter when designers are having their biggest sales to clear out for the new season of dresses is when you can find the best deals.
Buy a floor sample – These are the ones everyone tries on and the store will sell at a hefty discount because of that!
Consider a laced back corset – If you are able to loosen or tighten the dress via a lace corset it will save money on alterations.

Skip the suit – buying a button down shirt and black pants are much cheaper than a suit or tux.
Check thrift stores – Many guys wear a suit once and then gain weight and get rid of their suit. Or sadly will wear a suit to an event like funeral then want nothing to do with it again. This is where you can save and don't be afraid of little alterations!
Get Cashback – Remember when you shop online for wedding items (and even in store!) use Ebates for cashback. They even have special wedding cashback offers!

I grew up learning ways to save from my mom and grandma. I started my own coupon journey when my first child was born in 2009 and started the blog on 2010 when baby #2 was born to share my tips with everyone who kept asking about how I was getting diapers for $1 a pack!
