I have something to tell you. If you are reading this post chances are you know it already but incase you don't …. Marriage is hard work … everyday! You don't just say I do then coast through the rest of your life it won't turn out like a fairy tale no matter what Disney says. My husband and I have found many ways to work at and spice up our marriage. From weekly date nights, weekends away, vacations, to things around the house and late night gab sessions!
Recently I stumbled upon these books one for him and one for her written by a husband and wife. They also include bible verses to go along with many of their tips and we are using them to improve our marriage.
What We Are Reading This Week to Improve Our Marriage
The books I am talking about are written by a husband and wife and each is tailored to either the husband or the wife.
100 Ways to Love Your Wife: A Life-Long Journey of Learning to Love by Matthew L Jacobson
100 Ways To Love Your Husband: the life-long journey of learning to love each other by Lisa Jacobson
Thank you! One I read over and over is the 7 principles for making marriage work. It gives you tools to fight without attacking the other person—priceless in a marriage.
I had someone else mention this book to me as well, It’s now on my wish list! Thank you!
What a great post! I’m adding these books to my list now! With a new baby it has been especially easy to forget to “spoil” my husband (that’s not the right word… but I think you get the idea). I have recently been reading the book LoveBirds. It helps you find the love language of yourself and your spouse. It has been a huge help to me mostly just opening my eyes as to why I think the way I do and that my husband doesn’t think the same way! I need to remember that sometimes 🙂
We loved these books and they gave us some great ideas and things we didn’t think about. Sometimes things are so obvious you need someone to point it out for you brain to click on it. I am going to check out the Love Birds Books now 🙂
I’ve never heard of these books. Thanks for sharing!
