Creamy 4 Cheese Fritters with Sweet Honey Mustard Sauce
When I was visiting Memphis I had dinner at Memphis BBQ Co. and had their cheese fritters. Guys I fell in love with them! Soon as I got home I started digging for a recipe close and fell in love with this one.
It's 4 kinds of cheese and I really think it tastes the same! It's rich and creamy and very filling.
They had these on their appetizers menu but this also makes a great meatless meal as well. Pair it with a veggie to offset the fried factor and you are good to go!
Few tips First!
You want to make sure you oil is up to temperature before putting in your fritters or they won't be crispy and they won't cool well and you will be sad.
Next if you you don't a deep frier (and don't worry because I don't!) I suggest a cast iron pan. They hold heat better and I just like cooking with them.
Make sure you have a candy thermometer or oil thermometer for this.
Now, are you ready for the recipe?
These 4 Cheese Fritters with Sweet Honey Mustard Sauce are golden crispy fried, creamy, and then dipped in a sweet honey mustard sauce with a slight tang to it that just enhances the cheese fritters flavors.

Now add the flour mixture to the shredded cheese.
Next, beat the eggs and mix them into the flour and cheese mixture and then fold in the shallots.
Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour. This will make sure they don't separate when you go to fry them.
After at least an hour in the fridge heat the oil to 350 degrees F.
Then you want to form fritters. Pick your size and shape just make sure they are all the same size so they cook evenly.
Once formed drop in the fitters in the hot oil and allow to cook until golden brown.
Place on a paper towel to drain. Serve hot.
