Root Beer BBQ Grilled Chicken
It's grilling season and we need to break out the grilling section of my recipe book! This is one recipe I LOVE it has a sweet twist to it so my kids LOVE it! It is great with BBQ beans and corn on the cob. Grilled Chicken is perfect to marinate and even toss in the freezer for busy days! I want to throw in how much i HATE cleaning the grill and how much for marinated meats I loving using grill bags to save on the mess!
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
½ cup soy sauce
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon homemade brown sugar
1 (12 oz) can root beer
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
Salt and pepper to taste
In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the oil, soy sauce, mustard and light brown sugar. Pour in the soda. Add the chicken to the marinade and refrigerate for 2-3 hours (best overnight!)
Remove the chicken and discard the marinade. Season with salt and pepper. Brush the grill with a little olive oil before putting the chicken on. Grill over medium-high heat until cooked through.

I grew up learning ways to save from my mom and grandma. I started my own coupon journey when my first child was born in 2009 and started the blog on 2010 when baby #2 was born to share my tips with everyone who kept asking about how I was getting diapers for $1 a pack!
