I love that so many places offer a Military Discount, or even military freebies! So before you head out on a summer vacation, or family trip make sure to take full advantage of you military discounts! Check out some of the big ones this summer!
Summer Vacation Discounts for Military
One of the best discounts for military in my opinion is the Disney discounts and deals! You can score a 4 day park hopper pass from Disney for just $177 per person per day. That is $44 a day. Being that Magic Kingdom tickets start at over $100 a person this is a HUGE savings!
Add to the huge savings Disney has a military resort located at Walt Disney World in Orlando. Shades of Green. This resort is exclusive to military families, including active duty, Reserve, Guard, retirees and families of fallen and disabled service members in all branches of the Armed Forces. Room rates are based on your rank at check in.
Another place most people visit in the summer and not winter is Alaska. and in Seward Alaska there is a military only resort called Seward Military Resort. while they are open year-round, I will say it's a personal preference to go in the summer! They offer a variety of activities such as hiking, fishing, snowmobiling, sight-seeing, glacier tours and much more.
If you want to take a cruise, check out MilitaryCruises.com. They give the lowest direct-buy rates on cruises for U.S. service members and Veterans (who where honorably discharged). Choose from many destinations and cruise lines.
The Waves of Honor program gives the military members and their direct family (spouse and kids) free tickets to either Busch Gardens or Sea World every year. You can visit once per calendar year for free.
Cedar Point in Ohio offers $22 off a regular all-day admission ticket. Please present a valid Military ID at the Gate.
Colonial Williamsburg – Active duty military and immediate family members can receive a Military One Day Plus pass via the MWR/ITT offices.
Six Flags offers one free admission day at the end of summer every years, normally in September.
There are over 2,000 Blue Star Museums that offer FREE admission to Active Duty Military members and their families from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Baseball Hall of Fame in New York offers free admission year-round for active and retired military.
If you are heading out to California Keep in mind Legoland gives a 10% military discount at the California Legoland, while military appreciation days at the Florida location gets active and retired vets in the park for free with discounts for family members.
Taking advantage of the Disney discount? Don't forget Universal Studios offers a military discount when you visit the BaseOps website as well.
And one of my favorites is the free annual pass to the U.S. National Parks.
Don't forget about Gov Vacation Rewards I mentioned a while back either!

Thank you so much for composing this! I know about our family being able to get military discounts but for some reason when it comes down to planning our vacation, I always forget to check. Pinning this for future reference. Thank you!
