I didn't want to make my kids the same things day in and day out so I was on the hunt for some new ideas for my kids. Mostly because since we homeschool I eat what they eat sooooo I NEED some variety! I tried different sandwiches, peanut butter and banana, peanut butter and marshmallow fluff, turkey and cheese and it just wasn't the same. Then we found a winner. My kids like to make their own kind of sandwiches, a little play with their lunch. Plus it's portable for when we are out for our school days! Let's face it when kids are at school they get into all sorts of things! One year I had art class right before lunch! Talk about a mess! Even though we homeschool we take ouch lunch with us a lot or a snack and to have a single wipe for them to clean their hand on the go is very important.
