The other night I was trying to figure out what to make for dinner and my kids said they wanted the shake and bake chicken I made last week. DIY Chicken Shake and Bake
My family liked it better than the stuff I buy in stores. so I have since stopped buying it and just been making it myself.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of Breadcrumbs
- 1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
- 1 Teaspoon Paprika
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
Directions
Mix all above ingredients together.
Add mixture to gallon size ziploc bag
Add in meat (chicken or pork chops would work great with this mix) and SHAKE! To coat all the meat.

Ingredients
- 1 cup of Breadcrumbs
- 1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
- 1 Teaspoon Paprika
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl well
- Use on fish, chicken, pork, or your favorite cut of meat
What a great idea! I think I have some Italian breadcrumbs leftover from another recipe. I wonder if I could just use those instead.
