Easy Meatless Chili Recipe
I grew up on my dad’s famous chili. Now that I’m an adult and I like to make chili, I’ve created my own chili using BUSH’S® Chili Beans. There is no doubt that everyone in your family will love this chili. It’s hearty and is the perfect wintertime meal. Even when it’s just slightly chili out, I’ll cook up my amazing chili.
I like to use BUSH’S® Chili Beans and make it a meatless chili because we do at least one meatless meal a week and with the beans, we all still get our protein.
Now, let’s get onto sharing that recipe with you!
Ingredients
1 Onion
2 Green Peppers
2 cans BUSH’S® Chili Beans
1 can Crushed Tomatoes
1 can Tomato Sauce
1 can Tomato Paste
Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 tablespoon Chili Powder (or to taste)
1 tablespoon Cumin
1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
Salt
Pepper
Directions
Start by dicing your onion and green peppers and adding them to a large pot and cooking them until the onion starts to get a bit translucent.
Next add in your tomato sauce, paste, and crushed tomato. We use crush because my kids don't like chunks. Mix well.
Next, add in your spices (pro tip you can use taco seasoning in a bind!) Mix well.
Then add in your BUSH’S® Chili Beans. Mix well.
Let everything simmer on low stir occasionally.
I suggest simmering at least an hour but I have done it for as little as 15 minutes and it still tastes great!
Serve with cheese and cornbread!
