We love crafts that help with fine motor skills. Even though my kids are a little older now, they are never too old to fine-tune their finger movements. I am constantly after my kids for how they hold their pencils still so these lacing crafts help with these techniques. Reindeer Paper Plate Lacing Activity for Kids
Paper plate crafts are so much fun. Most can be saved for years to come or after the holiday you can simply toss them. They are so easy to create year after year. Along with paper plate crafts, there are a lot of popsicle stick crafts as well. Reusing items from around the home brings materials costs down and around the holidays that is always a plus.
Most paper plate craft and this Reindeer Paper Plate craft we simple use the cheapest paper plates. I can not justify getting the ‘fine china' of paper plates when all my kids are going to do is; paint, cut, and glue with them.

What you need for Reindeer Paper Plate Lacing Nose Activity
Construction paper: Red and brown
Paper plate
How to make Reindeer Paper Plate Lacing Nose Activity
Color the entire plate with the brown crayon. You can also paint, use a marker, or however you'd like to color it.
Using the scissors a big ‘V' shape from the plate. You will keep the ‘pizza slice' piece for the reindeer's face. Use the other piece for the ears but cut two ovals.

Glue the ovals to the plate. Attach the google eyes.
Next cut two antlers from the brown paper & glue them to the back of the plate.
To make the nose, cut a big circle from the red paper. Use the hole punch to make holes along the edges, make sure there's enough room so the paper doesn't rip.
Weave the red yarn through the holes, making whichever design you desire. Tie the loose ends to the back.
Use the school glue to attach the nose to the face.
The Reindeer is ready to light Santa's sleigh!
