Can you make deviled eggs the day before?
Yes, they can be made up to 2 days beforehand! I like to boil them and set them in the fridge to cool the night before then peel and make them the morning when I need them.
How long do deviled eggs last for?
They should be eaten within 2 days, though mine never lasts that long!
Why is it called deviled eggs?
Deviled means spice or zesty. Many Devil egg recipes are made with hot sauce and almost all are made with some kind of vinegar to give it a tang which fits the deviled part.
Should deviled eggs be served cold?
In short, Yes. Not only do they taste better but it helps hold the mixture together and stops it from getting too runny.
