Easy Football Rice Krispie Treats Recipe
We are a big football house here. Well, I'm just here for the food, to be honest, and the kids are here Tailgating Games. But the boy's and my holdest daughter enjoy the game. Though I am one of those that watch the Superbowl for the commercials. Sorry, I disappointed you there.
I will admit though I like being at the games but more than watching them on YV. Then I can truly get involved. That's why I prefer tailgating and have several go-to recipes for that! These football Rice Krispies being one of them.

Using the chocolate Rice Krispies gives the footballs the brown collar without having to use any food coloring. To make the icing easier you can get a white tube so you don't have to mess with an icing bag. It is all fairly easy.

Football Rice Krispie Treats Ingredients
7 cups of Cocoa Rice Krispies
12 oz bag of mini marshmallows
2 tbsp butter

Football Rice Krispie Treats Directions
Begin by melting the butter in a medium saucepot over medium heat.
Add marshmallows and heat until melted and smooth. Stir and watch closely. Be sure not to burn the mixture it will go from perfect to burnt fast!
In a bowl, pour 7 cups of Cocoa Krispies and add the marshmallow mixture. Mix until incorporated.
Put a piece of parchment paper to line a 9×9 baking pan. Pour the Krispie mixture in. Then use another piece of parchment paper on top to flatten Rice Krispie treats.
Another trick, when mixing and dealing with the marshmallow mixture stray your spatula with nonstick cooking stray to stop the mixture sticking to the spatula. It will make your work so much easier!
Let cool for approximately 2-4 hours on the counter.
If you do not have a football cookie cutter, slightly bend an empty soup can to make a football shape.
Once cooled, lift out the parchment paper. Cut the Krispies with your can or a cookie-cutter into football shapes.
Use a small icing tip to add frosting to the treats for the laces of the football.
That's it! You can let the icing dry for 5-10 minutes or even serve right away!
