Avoid a contract
It is possible to have a cell phone and not have a contract these days. If you can somehow get your hands on a non-contract phone, go with it. The reason I say to steer clear of contracts is that if you want out of it, it’s going to cost you an arm and a leg financially. You’re not really saving money if you have to pay $800 to get out of a contract.
Limit the data
I know you have heard this tip before, but limiting your data is really the way to go. It can cost up to $20 extra a month for 2-3-4 extra Gigabits of data, depending on your cell phone carrier. Be smart about the data that you use because this could really help you save on your phone bill.
