Ok, I just made this Oreo Dirt Pie recipe and you guys I swear it is the most addicting thing in the world. I made a 9×13 pan of it and it was gone in less than 24 hours. So I made a second one (the one in the pictures below), I tweaked the recipe and according to my family it was even better and was gone even faster this time. So now I’m sharing with you.
The Most Addicting Oreo Dirt Pie Recipe
It’s no secret I like Oreo recipes. With my 3rd child, I craved the Oreo cream filling like it was the last food on Earth! I would eat the cream and leave the cookie parts for the kids. Now, normally I’m a dunk the whole cookie in milk and let it get kind of soggy and then eat it type of girl!

Now I am a traditional girl, I like my plain double stuff Oreos (family-sized please!) but have you seen some of these flavors out there now? A few of my favorites are the Cherry Cola Oreos, oh, and the Pina Colada Oreos.
My daughter swears by the Cinnamon Bun Oreos, and all my kids like the Fireworks Oreos since they have Pop Rocks in them.
My least favorite flavors? Well, that’s easy, the Kettle Corn Oreos, the Peeps Oreos, and the Hot and Spicy Cinnamon Oreos.

Oreo Dirt Pie Directions
Start by preheating your oven to 350°F.
Combine the box cake mix according to the instructions on the box. Mix until well combined.
Bake the cake in 9×13” pan for 22-28 minutes. Check by inserting a toothpick into the middle of the cake.
If the toothpick comes out clean, your cake is done. Then allow the cake to cool for 10 -15 minutes.
While the cake is still warm, take the end of a wooden spoon or another round object and poke holes all over the top of your cake.
Heat the jar of hot fudge sauce in the microwave until you can stir it and thin it out (about 30-60 seconds depending).
Pour the entire jar of hot fudge sauce on the top of the cake and allow it to absorb in the cake until cake is cooled. Leave a little for topping.
When the cake has cooled, prepare the pudding layer by mixing a package of instant dark chocolate pudding with 1 3/4 cups of cold milk.
Before the pudding sets, pour it over the top of the cake and put the cake in the fridge to let the pudding set, about 15 minutes.
Next mix the 2nd box of pudding mixing a package of instant dark chocolate pudding with cold milk.
Refrigerate until the pudding has set. Keep your dirt pie in the fridge while doing this.
Using a large Ziploc bag and crush the 3/4 of the bag of Oreos into smaller pieces using a rolling pin or other large, heavy object.
Once the pudding has set, mix in a container of Cool Whip until well blended.
Mix in crushed Oreos into the Cool Whip and Pudding mixture and spread the dirt over the top of the cake.
Top your cake with the remaining hot fudge and Oreos. Serve cold. Keep leftover dirt pie in the fridge.

is there a video of this recipe? i can’t find the exact same ingredients here in brazil so a video would be nice to help me figure better the consistency the ingredients should have! i’m dying to try this cake!
Hi! Can this be made ahead of time, or best served within hours or same day?
Can’t wait to try – and need to get these Oreos out of my pantry ASAP!
I have made it the night before it sets really well over night!
We are not dark chocolate fans in this house. Milk chocolate or fudge pudding could be substituted, correct?
Can i make this the day before and it still be good?
Yes I store it in the fridge!
Thanks for this delicious recipe, and for both your husband’s and your family’s service. It is greatly appreciated!
Do you think just a regular chocolate pudding would work? I am not a fan of dark chocolate, but I LOVE Oreos!
it calls for pudding 3.4 oz but it comes in 3.95 oz i the store
This looks delicious, thank you for sharing!
This looks so good! What a fun dessert to make for a family event! The kids would love making it too!
Thanks for sharing! Does it keep long?
What size cool whip container do I need specifically?
Does it have to be Hershey’s pudding mix? The pudding isn’t setting up with 1 3/4 cup of milk! Help!
What size cool whip? Large or the smaller size 8 oz?
“Next mix the 2nd box of pudding mixing a package of instant dark chocolate pudding with cold milk.” Do we mix it with 1-3/4 cup milk, as we did with the 1st box? Thanks so much.
