Ok, one thing you need to know about me. I LOVE Oreos and just about any oreo dessert. I also twist them and eat the cream out first. I love them broken up in my ice cream. I will eat almost anything if it has Oreos in it. So it should be no surprise that I have more desserts with Oreos in them than anything else, in my recipe box!
So besides Oreo, I love simple easy recipes and no-bake recipes are even better. If you want to wow a crowd for the least amount of effort these No Bake Oreo Meltaways are for you!
Oreo Dessert – No Bake Oreo Meltaways Recipe
Be warned these are rich, yummy, and oh so addictive! This is the recipe as it stands in my recipe box and I'll note my changes to it 😉
Ingredients
Oreos, divided
Unsalted butter, divided
Powdered sugar
Milk
Vanilla
Instructions
Finely crush 30 Oreos, using a food processor or blender. If you don't have one then crush it with a rolling pin or extra heavy book, in a Ziploc bag. Get your frustration out and go at them good!
Combine Oreo crumbs with ½ c. softened butter and press into a 9×9 inch pan to form a crust.
Chill crust until firm. I normally put it in for at least an hour but I tend to get busy and caught up so it's normally several hours before I make it back to finish up.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine powdered sugar, ½ c. softened butter, milk, and vanilla.
Mix at medium-high speed 2-3 minutes.
Crush the remaining 10 Oreos, leaving some larger pieces, and stir them into the powdered sugar mixture. I leave bigger pieces because I like a good crunch.
Spread mixture over top of crust and keep refrigerated until ready to serve. Again let set at least an hour.
