No Sew Sea Salt Heat Pack
No Sew Sea Salt Heat Pack I am a HUGE fan of my heating pad. Whether it’s a stiff neck, sore back, earache or bruises a nice heat pack can have you feeling better in no time. But the electric ones dont always make since. or can't get it exactly where you need it. If you need a heat pack in a pinch you can easily upcycle an old shirt, some fabric scraps or any other microwave resistant fabric and throw together a No Sew Sea Salt Heat Pack in no time. I choose sea salt because it holds heat longer than rice, cherry pits or any other common filling for a heat pack. NOTE: NOT all fabric can withstand microwave oven heating so be sure to use a natural fabric that will not melt. Acetates, polyester and other synthetic fabrics should be considered not-microwaveable and not to be used … [Read more...]
How To Eat Healthy On A Budget
How To Eat Healthy On A Budget It’s a common misconception that eating healthier is costly, but that isn’t true. Eating healthier, ultimately, can be the same as or less than eating junk food and fast food. Now, some healthy foods are much more expensive, but typically, they’re pre-packaged and you pay more for the convenience than the actual health element. Produce is a huge part of eating healthy, and it’s worth mentioning that it can be a little costly to buy lots of produce at a local grocery store. Instead, search local farmer’s markets for the best price. You’ll find that it’s much more cost effective to buy locally. Another great option is food co-ops like Bountiful Baskets, if it’s offered in your area. You get a basket of produce every week for a set price, and you get quite … [Read more...]

Groceries can really add up as you’re walking through the store. However, there are a few tips and tricks to help you lower your grocery bill. 1. Never grocery shop on an empty stomach. This is important because when you’re hungry, you’ll be tempted to grab tons of snacks and foods that look good to you at that moment, and not what you necessarily need. Adding a bunch of unnecessary snacks and junk food can add a lot on to a grocery bill. 2. Use coupons.
